I would really love the chance and or opportunity to join the LU family. I'm a Princess Anne High School Graduate, Class of 2010. Received some acceptance letters throughout my junior & senior year, but not from any of the colleges i applied for. I've been currently enrolled in at Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach Campus, and would really love to explore my talents somewhere else. What do i need to do in order for me to attend your college? I want more out of my college experience and i don't want to settle for anything less. A chance is what i am asking for, and i believe that Liberty University can offer me that.

  • Hi Julian! We are excited to hear about your interest in Liberty University and would love to answer any questions that you may have about the next steps in the enrollment process. We love working with transfer students and we have several resources in place to assist you in better understanding how your credits would transfer to Liberty. Transfer students may also be eligible to receive admissions and academic scholarships. The first step is to place an application online at www.libertyu.com or over the phone with an Admissions Counselor at (800) 543-5317. Your application file will be considered complete once you have submitted the required admissions essay, an official copy of your final high school transcript or GED score, official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, and SAT or ACT test scores (if you have earned fewer than 60 college credits or are under the age of 22). Once these documents have been submitted, our Admissions Committee is typically able to review applications for admissions decisions within just a few days. Another important step is to submit the refundable $250 confirmation deposit and to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using Liberty's school code (010392). We encourage you to follow the steps in the 4 A's of Admissions available here: http://www.libertyu.com/index.cfm?PID=16409. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions!

What's it like here? Is it a good university? Also, what is the standard GPA you need to apply or either go here? One more thing, is it to early to apply to colleges now? Thanks :)

  • Hi Shaymeon! Liberty University is the world's largest Christian university dedicated to the mission of training Champions for Christ. We offer more than 100 different programs of undergraduate study, NCAA Division I athletics, and an incredible array of activities and organizations within our 6,500 acre campus. We do not have a set minimum GPA that is required for admission as we evaluate all students' applications on a case by case basis. However, our average GPA for incoming freshmen students is a 3.3 (unweighted) cumulative GPA. We also offer Academic Achievement scholarship amounts for students who are accepted to Liberty that meet certain GPA/test score requirements. For more information about this scholarship, please visit http://www.libertyu.com/index.cfm?PID=8286. We accept applications from students beginning in the second semester of their sophomore year of high school, and we encourage students to complete their application during their junior year of high school as we may able to consider the application for an acceptance decision once we have received a student's high school transcript from 9th-11th grades (if the student has submitted all other required admissions documents). Placing the application and refundable confirmation deposit early will also ensure that you secure the maximum amount of the guaranteed confirmation deposit scholarship package that we are offering. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you!
